DC Comics are now available through the PlayStation Network digital comics service for PSP (PlayStation Portable). Starting today, users in the US can access DC Comic titles on PlayStation Store, directly on the PSP or via Media Go on their PC. The content library on PlayStation Network continues to grow. The addition of DC Comics brings some of the comic book world’s most iconic characters to the digital download service.
In an effort to capture some summer traffic and drive sales of the PSP-3000 and PSP Go, Sony has added a host of first and third party titles to the Greatest Hits $9.99 catalogue. These older titles represent some of Sony’s best-selling franchises on the portable system, drastically reducing the cost of entry to new customers, and providing existing customers with some solid savings. It’s a big day for the PSN. The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package map pack is dropping today for $15, ending the timed exclusive window it enjoyed on the Xbox 360. This pack features three new maps and two maps from Modern Warfare. Players have been highly critical of the price of this pack, especially in light of the recycled content. The protests have been answered by Activision and Infinity Ward’s repeated defense that players will enjoy many hours of play on all of the maps included. Continue reading »

PS3 and PSP owners were thrilled earlier this week when they learned that the LucasArts classic Dark Forces was coming to PSN on Thursday. The classic FPS launched a franchise for LucasArts and created a hero of their newcomer protagonist, Kyle Katarn. It was disappointing to many to learn that the game was released with a show-stopping bug on some PlayStation units. Continue reading »
